April 25, 2016
Coachella is happening now and how I wish I was there. I can’t help but embrace the gypsy side of fashion while looking at the Coachella. Coachella is a haven for ladies who wants to channel their inner warrior princess. Talking about those flower power and boho chic outfits everywhere. Gypsy fashion has always been around these days especially this season. It is known to be vintage yet edgy. When you think of this fashion, you would think of tribal trends and hippie pieces. From fringes to flowers crowns, it makes us one with nature.
Tip No. 1: Go Bohemian
Gypsy fashion is a free-spirited style. It is also known as bohemian fashion wherein it is a culture of wanderers. If you want to dress like one of the gypsies, maxi dresses and skirts are your kinds of glamor. Lace up, tie-dye and fringe are the staple bohemian flairs. Also, Tunic shirts and blouses are the key pieces of a gypsy closet.
Tip No. 2: Geometric Fashion
Often, we see flared jeans are paired with vests or cover-ups. Any aesthetic with Aztec or geometric pattern will give you that boho streak. Ankle boots and gladiators sandals are the staple footwear of gypsies. And to complete your bohemian-inspired OOTD with your BJD, go for accessories that will add more of a hippie vibe to your overall look.
Tip No.3: Headwraps
Headwraps, headbands and of course, flower crowns would complete your warrior princess peg. You could also opt for brimmed or straw hats for your dolls. Oversized sunglasses are also a bohemian staple. And when it comes to accessories, bohemians are fond of the more the merrier. Good layering of chunky bangles and big necklaces are very gypsy.
There are a lot of must-haves when it comes to gypsy dressing. But always consider your mood when dressing up and as well as to your BJD. Since gypsy means wanderer, you have to embrace their vibrant aura and free-spirited attitude.
